About this role
The role will be a key member within the ESD team, bringing sustainability experience to deliver high quality, market-leading advice on energy efficiency measures, health and wellbeing, sustainable materials and operational and embodied carbon. The main focus of the role will be to provide services and support in the areas of Building Physics, Energy Modelling, and Sustainable Building Design (Environmentally Sustainable Design and deliver more sustainable solutions for our clients and communities.
What will I do?
Work as part of a team across the Climate and Sustainability Services Portfolio.
Assisting with complex activities or projects.
Authoring or reviewing technical reports spanning a variety of areas related to sustainability.
Be responsible for meeting deadlines, and project targets in your own area.
Contribution to design capability within the Sustainability Buildings team, particularly in the areas of Building Physics, Energy Modelling, and Performance analysis
What will I bring?
Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications (preferably at master’s degree level) in science, engineering, sustainability management, project management or similar area.
4 to 6 years of relevant industry experience in sustainability specifically. Experience in consulting is desirable but not a pre-requisite.
Strong strategic, technical and / or analytical skills in subjects encompassing sustainability such as climate change risk, resilience and adaptation, decarbonisation, circular economy, social value, UN SDGs.
Ability to discuss and advise client on the most common sustainability rating tools (e.g., Green Star Buildings, WELL etc). Qualification in, or willingness to gain an accredited professional in the use of the Green Star would be an advantage.
