The first meeting held by Morley and Ruwangi from iSTEM Co. for the ongoing internship was very informative. We were given a packet of information that included noting down everyday schedules, making sure we are in speed, bring whole self to work in different ways and setting the goal of getting the team to reflect on the company's behavior. They also posed a series of questions like what will work well and what can we do better. I believe that the best idea often comes from those people who are closest to the work and these feedback and informative sessions from these meetings adds to process improvements. Therefore, I look forward to joining the team soon.

I wanted to thank you for the great job that you are doing. I become familiar with Morely at Victoria University in one of the water advisory board meetings. Then, I become familiar with iSTEM as a talent-sourcing company, that promotes women and provides job opportunities for them in various sectors, concerning their abilities and talents regardless of their sex and race. I have also participated in the career fair event organized by you, and through this event, I had a chance to get to know many bright people and network with the industry. You both helped me to introduce myself as a qualified and skilfulness person who is able to carry out her career whether in a team or independently, and now that I am starting a new position as an Internship in South East Water. I hope the iSTEM grows fast in promoting women in STEM and more women can get a chance to become familiar with their capabilities.

I am happy with iSTEM Co. regarding the internship opportunity at South East Water. I was looking for a place similar to my research work that will give me an excellent opportunity to avail myself of field experience and enrich my practical knowledge. iSTEM Co. helps me to find out that. As a MSc graduate in Cyber Security from Deakin University with an Engineering background obtained overseas, I desperately needed to have an opportunity of applying my skills acquired during my study to real life application. Working with iSTEM Co. has improved my Digital literacy and given me a sense of purpose. I work to ensure security and safety across iSTEM Co.’s networks. As a new mum, a migrant and a woman of colour, I have tried to apply for work in several organisations with no results. I have experienced the bias and challenges involved in securing employment in the ICT sector. iSTEM Co. has given me hope to dream again and what is more interesting is that I get to invest my time and skills to make a social change that transforms workplaces for women from vulnerable backgrounds

After completing my bachelors in Software and Mobile App Development at Victoria University, I struggled with employment. No company was willing to take the risk of employing a fresh graduate with no experience. iSTEM Co. gave me the opportunity to apply my learning to real-life applications. The wealth of knowledge and digital advancement I have acquired since beginning my internship with iSTEM Co. is incredible. I get to work with Dr Ruwangi Fernando, an expert Data Scientist and a team of specialised ICT professionals. I am glad to be given a chance
